Picasso to pollock exhibition
The exhibition graphics for the Speed Art Museum’s exhibition Picasso to Pollock: Modern Masterworks from the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University emphasize the role of the artist’s identity and process in the beginning of modern art.
The exhibition design began with fragmented portraits of the artists, signifying their personal identity and process and its affect on their art, as well as they way they broke previously accepted boundaries.
The exhibition concluded with a photo mural of the floor of Jackson Pollock’s barn, followed by a quote wall that continued the bold typography used inside the exhibition.
The merchandise for the exhibition uses the artists’ names to reinterpret a classic t-shirt design and emphasize their identity.
